TRADUCTIONS EN CONTEXTE

Tout comme dans l'ostéopathie, des conflits internes ne tardèrent pas à apparaître, pour donné naissance à deux grands courants, celui des 'straights' (les orthodoxes) et celui des 'mixers' (les mélangeurs), et ce sous l’effet d’un désaccord dont l’origine remonte aux premiers jours de la chiropraxie, le terme (péjoratif) de 'mixer' ayant été inventé par D.D. Palmer lui-même.
Net zoals bij osteopathie, resulteerden interne twisten in het ontstaan van twee grote stromingen, door henzelf de ‘straights’ en de ‘mixers’ genoemd tengevolge van een tegenstelling waarvan de oorsprong reeds teruggaat tot de begindagen van chiropraxie. De (denigrerende) term ‘mixer’ is van DD Palmer zelf.

La majorité des ostéopathes se sont formés au départ aux Royaume-Uni (Maidstone), puis des enseignements belges issus de cette école se sont organisés; ils restent tournés vers les racines conceptuelles de l’ostéopathie (Flanders International College of Osteopathy – FICO ; International Academy of Osteopathy – IAO ; ou Belgian School of Osteopathy – BELSO proposant un enseignement combiné à la kinésithérapie).
De meeste osteopaten zijn gevormd in het Verenigd Koninkrijk (Maidstone) of in een van de opleidingen in België die in navolging van deze opleiding georganiseerd werden. Deze opleidingen zijn gebaseerd op de conceptuele oorsprong van de osteopathie (Flanders International College of Osteopathy – FICO ; International Academy of Osteopathy – IAO ; of Belgian School of Osteopathy – BELSO die een gecombineerde opleiding osteopathie/kinesitherapie voorstelt).

D’autre part, tant au niveau national qu’international, il n’existe pas d’organes de coordination centralisés dotés d’une autorité suffisante pour définir la pratique de l’ostéopathie et de la chiropraxie. Enfin, on dénombre différents courants et traditions.
Anderzijds bestaan er geen centraal coördinerende organen, zowel op nationaal als op internationaal niveau met voldoende autoriteit om de praktijk van osteopathie en chiropraxie te definiëren.Het bestaan van verschillende stromingen en tradities maakt dat hierop slechts bij benadering een antwoord kan gegeven worden.

Un procès contre l’Etat intenté en 2010 à la fois par une école (IAO -International Academy of Osteopathy) et une organisation professionnelle (ROB-ABRO - Registre des Ostéopathes de Belgique) attestent d’ailleurs d’une certaine lassitude de la profession.
Tot op vandaag zijn enkel de besluiten betreffende de erkenning van de beroepsgroepen gepubliceerd. Een proces tegen de Belgische Staat ingesteld in 2010 door een school (International Academy of Osteopathy-IAO) en een beroepsvereniging (Register Osteopaten België- ROB) tonen aan de beroepsgroep een einde wil maken aan het juridische vacuüm.

Cette composition interne relativement ‘éclatée’ de l’ostéopathie (trois piliers : viscéral, crânial et pariétal – voir profils de compétence) contraste avec l’homogénéité de la chiropraxie, qui repose sur un arsenal de techniques dans lequel tous les chiropracteurs se retrouvent.
Deze relatief ‘verdeelde’ interne samenstelling van de osteopathie (drie pijlers: visceraal, craniaal en pariëtaal – zie competentieprofiel) is in schril contrast met de homogeniteit van de chiropraxie, die berust op een ‘arsenaal’ van technieken waarin alle chiropractors zich terugvinden.

C’est un honneur de pouvoir soutenir cette organisation quant à ses précieuses réalisations en faveur de l’ostéopathie et ce, également au niveau international.
